Gain New Skills at the Trout School

Treat yourself to the Trout School, a program designed for both beginner and experienced trout fishermen or women alike. When you join us for a day or a weekend, you'll have the chance to learn from the best while relaxing in some of the best outdoor recreation space in America.

Casting Much of your time will be spent on the fundamentals of the roll cast and the basic cast. Distance casting using the single haul, double haul, and oval casting methods, as well as many specialty casts will be taught based on each student's pace and desire. Additional topics that we can cover include: • Approach & Presentation • Reading Water • Fly Selection • Wading • Playing the Fish • Knots • Tackle Choices • Releasing Fish

Equipment

You may bring your own equipment or use ours at no cost. In our shop, we have many different types of equipment from various manufacturers available. We encourage you to try as many different makes and models as possible while enrolled in the class. While participating in our program, all tackle at our shop is 25% off.

Fishing

Trout fishing both before and after class is highly encouraged. Give us a call before you arrive, and we can go over all of the relevant details regarding permits and other considerations.
